American federal style mahogany chest with bracket feet and brass keyhole. Circa 1789-1830. Comes with key and measures 16” tall, 22” wide and 15” deep.

We offer in house shipping for the majority of the items that are sold in the auction. The exceptions being furniture, bulk or heavy items like marble statues or extremely fragile items. For these items, we recommend you work with a shipper. Shipping charges are not included in the winning hammer price. If you live over 4 hours from the auction house, we will assume that you would like your items shipped. Please let us know if you do not want them shipped if you are over 4 hours away from the auction house. From May 128, 1986 appraisal: Furniture, American. Anonymous Federal Period cabinetmaker. Small chest with bracket feet, mahogany, carved, joined, brass keyhole escutcheon. 1789-1830. The integral stand with its bracket feet juts out beyond the chest proper. The veneer facing runs flush with the corner posts, but the hinged cover projects to make a small overhang. The simplicity of the form is characteristic of the Federal Period.
