Original oil painting on board by listed Oregon artist, Grace Russell (OR, CA, 1858 - 1942), signed lower right. Features a vibrant mountain landscape in bloom. Art measures 6.5" h x 9" w mounted in a frame measuring 9.5" x 12".

We offer in house shipping for the majority of the items that are sold in the auction. The exceptions being furniture, bulk or heavy items like marble statues or extremely fragile items. For these items, we recommend you work with a shipper. Shipping charges are not included in the winning hammer price. If you live over 4 hours from the auction house, we will assume that you would like your items shipped. Please let us know if you do not want them shipped if you are over 4 hours away from the auction house. The card that you registered with will be charged for all shipping charges and you will also receive an email with tracking information.
Fountain studied locally with William S. Parrott, and by the 1890s had established a studio in Portland where she taught small classes of women. While there she illustrated Joaquin Miller's Sea of Silence, which appeared in the September 1904 issue of Sunset magazine. She exhibited her work at the Southern Oregon Fair, Pacific Coast Floating Expo, NatI Gallery of Art, San Francisco Art Association, Palace of FA (SF), 1921 (Grand Canyon); Oakland Art Gallery & Womens City Club. Her work can be found in the collections of the Oregon Historical Society; Oakland Museum (Lake Merritt). & Oregon Historical Society & more.
