Original nautical watercolor on paper by listed artist, Armin Carl Hansen (CA, 1886 - 1957), signed lower right. Art measures 7.5" h x 11.5" w mounted in a frame measuring 16" x 20".

We offer in house shipping for the majority of the items that are sold in the auction. The exceptions being furniture, bulk or heavy items like marble statues or extremely fragile items. For these items, we recommend you work with a shipper. Shipping charges are not included in the winning hammer price. If you live over 4 hours from the auction house, we will assume that you would like your items shipped. Please let us know if you do not want them shipped if you are over 4 hours away from the auction house. The card that you registered with will be charged for all shipping charges and you will also receive an email with tracking information. 

Armin Hansen exhibited extensively throughout the United States. He received many honors and was given several solo exhibitions, including at the Helgesen Gallery in San Francisco in 1913. During the 1920s he exhibited his work in New York City at Milch Galleries and at the National Academy of Design, which in 1925 elected him as an Associate Member and presented him with the distinction of full National Academician in 1948. He was instrumental in forming the Carmel Art Institute. 

His was a member of the American National Academy, National Academy of Design, Carmel Art Association, California Society of Etchers; Salmagundi Club, New York, & the Société Royale des Beaux Arts (Brussels). 

Hansen's paintings can be found in the permanent collections of many well-respected institutions, including the Fine Arts Museums of San Franciso, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and the National Museum of American Art-Smithsonian as well as many other private & public collections.
