Original oil painting on canvas by listed Oregon artist, William Samuel Parrott (1843 - 1915), signed lower right. Features a sunset view of Mount Hood in Oregon. Art measures 18" h x 24"w mounted in a frame measuring 26.5" x 32".
Condition
Although the frame label states "Mt. Rainier", this painting depicts Mt. Hood in Oregon.

Parrot established himself in Portland, maintaining a studio there for more than 20 years. Parrott painted extensively throughout the western states, and is best known for his dramatic landscapes of Mount Hood.
