Original impressionist oil painting on canvas by listed artist, Robert Rucker (Louisiana, 1932-2001), signed lower right. Features a street scene of a bar at the French Quarter in Louisiana. Art measures 16" h x 20" w mounted in a frame measuring 26" x 30".
Available payment options
We offer in house shipping for the majority of the items that are sold in the auction. The exceptions being furniture, bulk or heavy items like marble statues or extremely fragile items. For these items, we recommend you work with a shipper. If you live over 4 hours from the auction house, we will assume that you would like your items shipped. Please let us know if you do not want them shipped if you are over 4 hours. Rucker was primarily known for landscapes & also did many paintings of steamboats, night life, and other aspects of Louisiana life & culture. He has won the Louisiana Legends Award & exhibited at one-man shows at the Isaac Delgado Museum of Art, Royal Orleans Hotel, Louisiana National Guard Convention and Trial Lawyer Convention. His work is in the Baton Rouge at Louisiana State University's Library and Gerard Ruth's Gallery and at private galleries in St. Louis, Chicago and San Francisco.
