Limited edition giclee print on paper by listed artist, Mervin Allen Corning (CA, 1926 - 2006), signed lower right & numbered 16/300, lower left. Art measures 28" h x 22" w mounted in a frame measuring 36" x 30".

We offer in house shipping for the majority of the items that are sold in the auction. The exceptions being furniture, bulk or heavy items like marble statues or extremely fragile items. For these items, we recommend you work with a shipper. Shipping charges are not included in the winning hammer price. If you live over 4 hours from the auction house, we will assume that you would like your items shipped. Please let us know if you do not want them shipped if you are over 4 hours away from the auction house. The card that you registered with will be charged for all shipping charges and you will also receive an email with tracking information. 

During Corning's years at Studio Artists, he was commissioned by Leach Corporation to create several paintings depicting famous aerial combat scenes, the airplanes of WWI and the men that flew them. The success of his artwork inspired a total of 44 paintings, later featured in a special exhibit at the Pentagon. Ten of the paintings remain in the permanent collection at the Air Force Museum. Corning's many portraits of National Football League football players are equally famous. Over 65 magazines have reproduced Merv Corning's artwork, including:  Aviation Week, Gameday, Life, Time, Reader's Digest, Art & Antiques, Architectural Digest, L.A. Magazine, Super Bowl and Foundation Naval Aviation, Westways Magazine, Merv Corning-An American Artist.
