Fashion photographer Andre de Dienes' firsthand memoirs detailing his relationship with the then Norma Jean. His entire relationship with the star, including many private moments shared only between the two, is documented in de Dienes' secret memoirs, which were discovered when Marilyn Monroe fans ravaged his home after his death in 1988. The memoirs tell a story of love and friendship from the point of view of someone who knew Marilyn intimately, describing the transformation from Norma Jean to Marilyn Monroe. This oversized collectable book contains 240 pages tucked into the original enlarged facsimile of de Dienes' Kodak film box, published as part of TASCHEN's Bibliotheca Universalis series. Also includes a 608-page softcover facsimile of de Dienes' complete Marilyn memoirs, his Marilyn composite book, and a staple bound brochure of twenty-four magazine covers featuring Marilyn Monroe. The book measures 15.5” x 12.5” and the box measures 19” x 16” x 3.5”.
