Limited edition "Figuratief" lithographic print by listed artist, Karel Appel (NY, FR, 1921-2006), signed lower right & numbered lower left 73/190. Art on paper measures 15" tall and 20.5" wide float mounted in an acrylic shadow box measuring 18.5" x 25" x 2.25 deep.
Available payment options
We offer in house shipping for the majority of the items that are sold in the auction. The exceptions being furniture, bulk or heavy items like marble statues or extremely fragile items. For these items, we recommend you work with a shipper. Shipping charges are not included in the winning hammer price. If you live over 4 hours from the auction house, we will assume that you would like your items shipped. Please let us know if you do not want them shipped if you are over 4 hours away from the auction house. The card that you registered with will be charged for all shipping charges and you will also receive an email with tracking information.
Appel was one of the founders of the avant-garde movement in 1948. He was also an avid sculptor & poet in addition to painting. He was awarded the UNESCO Prize at the 27th International Biennale in Venice, and the first prize at the Guggenheim International Exhibition in New York in 1960. He has exhibited in galleries worldwide and is represented in the collections of major museums in the United States, Canada, England, France and Holland.
