Original oil painting on canvas by listed Oregon artist, Josephine (Jennie) Hayne (1856 - 1938), signed lower right & dated 1907. Art measures 24" h x 33" w mounted in a frame measuring 28" x 37.5".

She was an exhibiting member of the Portland Sketch Club and the Oregon Art Association. She was featured in a one-person show of her oil paintings in the 1891 Portland Industrial Exposition.
She is probably the Mrs. J. T. Hayne who exhibited at the National Academy of Design in 1897. One of her paintings, Caroline Testout Roses, features the official Portland flower, which was planted in abundance during the 1905 Lewis and Clark Exposition.
