Original oil painting on canvas by listed Oregon artist, Josephine (Jennie) Hayne (1856 - 1938), signed lower right & dated 1907. Art measures 24" h x 33" w mounted in a frame measuring 28" x 37.5".

We offer in house shipping for the majority of the items that are sold in the auction. The exceptions being furniture, bulk or heavy items like marble statues or extremely fragile items. For these items, we recommend you work with a shipper. Shipping charges are not included in the winning hammer price. If you live over 4 hours from the auction house, we will assume that you would like your items shipped. Please let us know if you do not want them shipped if you are over 4 hours away from the auction house. She was an exhibiting member of the Portland Sketch Club and the Oregon Art Association. She was featured in a one-person show of her oil paintings in the 1891 Portland Industrial Exposition. 

She is probably the Mrs. J. T. Hayne who exhibited at the National Academy of Design in 1897. One of her paintings, Caroline Testout Roses, features the official Portland flower, which was planted in abundance during the 1905 Lewis and Clark Exposition.
