Original watercolor seascape painting on paper by listed artist, George Howell Gay (NY, WI,1858 - 1931), signed lower left & dated 1902. Art measures 17" h x 27" w mounted in a frame measuring 24.5" x 34.5".

George H. Gay was well known for his watercolor landscapes, seascapes and paintings of rivers and ships, mostly along the shores of New England. He is known to have exhibited at the National Academy of Design in 1890; Boston Art Club, 1890-1900; and Boston Art Club, 1897.
