The ostrich is considered one the most difficult carousel animals to carve. This example is attributed to Dentzel of Philadelphia (1867-1928.) Hand carved with glass eyes and beautifully presented on a wood base this Carousel menagerie measures 79” tall from the base to the head x 40” long’ 18” wide.
Condition
Considerable cracking, paint loss.

We offer in house shipping for the majority of the items that are sold in the auction. The exceptions being furniture, bulk or heavy items like marble statues or extremely fragile items. For these items, we recommend you work with a shipper. If you live over 4 hours from the auction house, we will assume that you would like your items shipped.
