Original oil painting on board by Native American artist Cecil Hobart Keith, signed lower right, dated 1954 & titled "Dandy Mike" in the center. Art measures 16" h x 23.5" w matted & mountain in a frame under glass measuring 24" x 31".

We offer in house shipping for the majority of the items that are sold in the auction. The exceptions being furniture, bulk or heavy items like marble statues or extremely fragile items. For these items, we recommend you work with a shipper. Shipping charges are not included in the winning hammer price. If you live over 4 hours from the auction house, we will assume that you would like your items shipped. Please let us know if you do not want them shipped if you are over 4 hours away from the auction house. The card that you registered with will be charged for all shipping charges and you will also receive an email with tracking information. 

C.H. Keith was born in the Pine Ridge Reservation of South Dakota and passed away there in 1989. He is known for his excellent depictions of horses, which he began sketching as a young boy. Keith was raised near Martin, SD. He served as a Navy gunner during WWII and traveled the country after the war pursuing his art career. While art was his passion, Keith also served for many years as Chief Judge of the Oglala Sioux Tribal Court.
