Original watercolor on paper by listed Oregon artist, Carl Alvin Hall (1921 - 1996), signed lower right & dated Nov. '58. Titled on the verso "Coastal Power". Art measures 28" h x 38" w mounted in a frame measuring 37" x 47".
Available payment options
We offer in house shipping for the majority of the items that are sold in the auction. The exceptions being furniture, bulk or heavy items like marble statues or extremely fragile items. For these items, we recommend you work with a shipper. Shipping charges are not included in the winning hammer price. If you live over 4 hours from the auction house, we will assume that you would like your items shipped. Please let us know if you do not want them shipped if you are over 4 hours away from the auction house. The card that you registered with will be charged for all shipping charges and you will also receive an email with tracking information.
Successor to Constance Fowler as Head of the Art Department at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, Hall became one of the Oregon regionalist painters inspired by Harry Wentz. He had a forty-year "plus" career as educator and artistic interpreter of the Northwest Coast, and in recognition of his distinction, the Hallie Ford Museum at Willamette has the Carl Hall Gallery, devoted to permanent exhibits of Northwest art.
