Bill Marlieb is a fourth generation New Yorker. He now lives in Wilsonville’s Charbonneau, Oregon. He graduated from New York School of Industrial Art and studied at the Art Students League and the Mew School of Social Research. He also studied under New York painters Leo Russell and Judith Epstein. His work has been exhibited by Ambassador Galleries, New York and Palm Beach, and Gallery Siano, Philadelphia as well as group shows in Oregon and other points east.
Bill was President and Creative Director of Tilley, Marlieb & Allen Advertising Agency and President of General Media Publishing Co. Int., Inc., publishing 20 magazines and science periodicals and additionally produced or co-produced films such as Chinatown, The Longest Yard andDay of The Locust.
As President of General Media Fine Arts, he maintained inventory of over $150,000,000 including the works of Picasso, ToulouseLautrec, Degas, Renoir, Matisse, Modigliani, Van Gogh and Botticelli.
His work is in the permanent collections of three museums: The Butler Institute of American Art – Ohio
