As-found antique pistol is believed to be a circa 1850s single shot Irish percussion knife pistol. Large musket bore caliber approximately 16 bore (.68cal). The barrel is engraved on top "ARMSTRONG – CLONMEL." (George Armstrong is listed in Slaters Directory of Ireland for 1856 and was working as a gunsmith at 58 Main Street, Clonmel at that time).
