Original oil painting on board by listed artist, Richard DeTreville (CA, SC, 1864 – 1929), signed lower left & titled on the verso "Marin County Landscape", circa 1890’s. Art measures 6.75" h x 9.75" w presented in a frame measuring 9" x 13".
Artist bio: De Treville worked in oil and, on rare occasions, in watercolor. He was known to be an excellent portraitist although his portraits are rare. The most prolific of early California painters, his small landscapes are invariably of the San Francisco Bay area, Yosemite, Lake Tahoe, and northern California.
