Original oil painting on canvas by listed Oregon artist, William Samuel Parrott (1843 – 1915), signed lower left. Features a crimson sunset over a quiet river at dusk. Art measures 12" h x 16" w mounted in a frame measuring 19" x 23.5".
Artist bio: Parrott established himself in Portland, maintaining a studio there for more than 20 years. Parrott painted extensively throughout the western states, and is best known for his dramatic landscapes of Mount Hood.
