Original oil painting on canvas by listed Oregon artist, William Samuel Parrott (1843 – 1915), signed lower left. Features a sunset view of Mt. Hood in Oregon. Art measures 9.5" h x 11.5" w mounted in a frame measuring 16" x 18".
Artist bio: Parrott established himself in Portland, maintaining a studio there for more than 20 years. Parrott painted extensively throughout the western states, and is best known for his dramatic landscapes of Mount Hood.
There is a faint vertical line of discoloration from top to bottom just to the right of the mountaintop. Minor paint loss on the bottom right. Frame is in good condition.
