Original oil painting on board by listed artist, Thomas Hill (CA, 1829 – 1908), signed lower right. Features Mt. Lyell in the Yosemite valley. Art measures 9.5" h x 13.5" w presented in a frame measuring 16" x 20".
Artist bio: Hill is one of America’s most famous 19th-century landscape painter, especially of panoramic views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and Yosemite. He also painted landscapes of the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone National Park, where he was particularly fascinated by the geysers.

There is a small area of scuffing or partial paint loss, less than the size of a dime, to the top right of the mountain in the painting. No other areas of damage or inpainting were noticed under blacklight scan.
